Program Description:

Pumplin decorating event in the Boland main lounge. Residents were offered supplies such as paint, paint brushes, glue, pom poms, etc. to use for the pumpkins in which they chose to decorate. Music was also provided in order to set a casual and relaxed atmosphere. The Campus-Wide Director of Programming provided majority of the pumpkins and art supplies while we provided additional pumpkins and snacks.

Goal(s) of the Program:

The goals of this pumpkin decorating pumpkin was to allow students to communicate and interact with one another. In addition, the program was created in order for students to distress from midterms and have a chance to be creative and enjoy themselves by getting in the Halloween holiday spirit.

Lasting Effects:

The lasting effects are the new friendships made through students meeting new people and interacting with one another, ultimately creating relationships that they did not have before the event.

Personal Evaluation:

The program overall went very well. The amount of students that came was very impressive and all of the pumpkins were used. I think that the music went over well because the playlist was very good. Also, the holiday related program was a good idea because it got people in the holiday spirit and made more people want to participate. However, I do think that we could have advertised the event better because there were not many posters in BBB, especially on the floors of the building.
