24-25 RHA Executive Board Applications

If you are interested in an Executive Board position for the 2024-2025 academic year, you are welcome to contact our RHA President, Rachel Adelakun to express interest in the EBoard. Interested individuals should write a letter of intent, and submit this by April 9th at 11:59 PM EST. Letters of Intent for the position of President will be due April 8th at 11:59 EST.

24-25 RHA Executive Board Election Timeline 

  • Friday, March 22st- RHA President & EBoard Application opens  
  • Monday, April 8th at 5 PM- RHA President Application due  
  • Monday, April 8th at 8 PM- Voting for President opens (through Cuse Activities)  
  • Tuesday, April 9th- RHA Eboard Applications due  
  • Wednesday, April 10th at 5 pm- Voting for President closes  at 5pm
  • Wednesday, April 10th- RHA EBoard Elections 8-10pm  

General Benefits and Expectations of the Executive Board:

Benefits:

  • All RHA Executive Board members have the ability to participate in priority housing selection AND course selection (when selected in the spring semester for the following academic year). This allows members to arrange their schedule to accommodate their duties and responsibilities with RHA in advance.
  • Each executive board member may earn a stipend per semester in the form of a financial scholarship. Amount TBD.

Expectations:

  • All candidates must be in good standing with both Syracuse University and the Office of Student Living.
  • The Directors will be the Chairpersons of a Neighborhood Community Council.
  • The RHA President is expected to work minimally 20 hours a week, with the rest of the EBoard working minimally 15 hours a week (inclusive of 6 office hours within SL).
  • The EBoard may be asked to join committees within the Office of Student Living, and at times, within the greater Syracuse University community.
  • The EBoard is expected to participate in focus groups for Housing, Dining, and other departments as necessary.
